Last updated: 7 August 2026

01Introduction

Mamo Capital Partners (“the Firm”, “we”, “us”) operates as a private family office with its operating address at Megurye Gardens, Brookside, Nairobi, Kenya. This Privacy Statement explains how we collect, use, disclose and safeguard personal data obtained through this website and through direct correspondence with the office.

We process personal data in accordance with the Data Protection Act, 2019 of Kenya and, where applicable, comparable international data protection standards.

02Personal Data We Collect

We collect only the data necessary to respond to enquiries, evaluate opportunities and operate this website.

  • Identity and contact data: name, entity name, email address and telephone number submitted through our inquiry and deal submission forms.
  • Transaction and opportunity data: sector, indicative deal size, written summaries and any documents you voluntarily upload.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information and pages visited, collected via essential and analytics cookies.
  • Correspondence data: the content of emails, letters and meeting notes exchanged with the office.

03Lawful Basis and Purpose of Processing

We rely on your consent for optional analytics and preference cookies, on the necessity of processing to take steps at your request prior to entering a transaction, and on our legitimate interests in assessing investment opportunities, protecting the security of our systems and maintaining accurate records.

Where processing is required to comply with anti-money laundering, counter-terrorism financing, tax or other legal obligations, we rely on that legal obligation as our basis.

04Consent Management

Optional cookies are set only after you have given consent through our cookie banner. Your selection is stored locally in your browser and may be changed at any time by clearing your browser storage for this site and reloading the page, or by writing to the office.

Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

05Third-Party Processing and Disclosure

We may share personal data with professional advisers (legal, tax, audit and technical due diligence), regulated financial institutions, technology service providers who host or maintain this website, and regulators or public authorities where disclosure is legally required.

Third-party processors act only on our documented instructions under written agreements imposing confidentiality and security obligations. We do not sell personal data, and we do not disclose data for third-party marketing.

Where data is transferred outside Kenya, we take reasonable steps to ensure that an appropriate level of protection, contractual or otherwise, is applied to that transfer.

06Data Retention

Enquiry correspondence is retained for up to twenty-four months where no engagement follows. Records relating to executed transactions, counterparty screening and statutory obligations are retained for the period required by applicable Kenyan law, and thereafter securely deleted or anonymised.

07Security

We apply organisational and technical safeguards proportionate to the sensitivity of the data we hold, including access controls, confidentiality undertakings and encrypted transmission. No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be entirely secure, and any transfer is undertaken at your own risk.

08Your Rights

Subject to the Data Protection Act, 2019, you have the right to:

  • Be informed of the use to which your personal data is put.
  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate, outdated or incomplete data.
